A Hands-On Agricultural Learning Experience
Love Hill Farm is excited to offer a unique, immersive, small group experience field trip experience created especially for K-2nd Grade students.

Our Immersive Flower Farm Field Trip gives young learners the opportunity to step outside the classroom and experience agriculture firsthand. During this two-hour visit, students will rotate through interactive learning stations focused on plants, pollinators, farm animals, food production, and the natural world.

Rather than simply touring the farm, students will be encouraged to see, touch, taste, plant, pick, observe, and ask questions as they discover how the different parts of a working flower farm are connected.

FIELD TRIP AT A GLANCE
Recommended Grade: Kindergarten-3rd Grade

Cost: $10 per Student

Required ratio: 3 adults per 10 students; To provide a safe, organized, and engaging experience for all students, Love Hill Farm requires a minimum of 3 adult chaperones for every 10 students attending the field trip.

Because students will be rotating through hands-on activities in an active farm environment, chaperones are expected to remain with and actively supervise their assigned group throughout the visit.

Max Attendance every 2 Hours: 50 students

Transportation: Bus parking on site

Length: Approximately 2 hours

Location: Love Hill Farm 2144 Poplar Springs Rd Ringgold, GA 30736

Format: Small-group rotating educational stations

Focus: Hands-on agricultural and environmental learning

Students will be divided into smaller groups (max of 15 per group) and rotate through farm stations led by Love Hill Farm team members and designated educators & chaperones.

Considerations: Bees are naturally on property and in the flower fields. We are NOT working with a live hive, only an example hive; however, EpiPens' are suggested to bring on site incase of emergency.

A TWO-HOUR IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE

The field trip is designed around the attention span and learning style of young children. Instead of lengthy presentations, our stations use a simple philosophy:

HEAR IT • SEE IT • TOUCH IT • DO IT

Station Rotations — approximately 20 minutes each
Students rotate through small-group stations, allowing them to remain engaged while giving them opportunities to interact directly with what they are learning.

Station Rotations — approximately 20 minutes each
Station 1: Honeybees & Pollinators (Taste Test the blackberry honey collected on the farm!)
Station 2: Duck Discovery (See, Pet, & Hear all about our ducks on the farm! Their eggs and how we care for them)
Station 3: Pumpkin Patch & Pumpkin Picking
Station 4: Flower Potting

Groups rotate through each station so every student receives the complete experience.

LEARNING BEYOND THE FARM
One of our goals is for students to leave Love Hill Farm with something they can continue learning from.

Each student leaves with:
🌱 A flower they personally potted
🍯 The experience of tasting blackberry honey produced at Love Hill Farm
🎃 FALL: A pumpkin they personally selected from the farm

And, most importantly, a better understanding of the living world around them.
